Who IS theWriterMAB?

Long time vivid reader earning the dreaded nickname of the BOOKMONSTER, devouring every book in sight, or by the more formal title of the BOOKKEEPER, the collector of many various books which is why her room is LITTERED with books galore.

Magpie (aka MAB) has always dreamed of becoming an author, she has come a long way.

For her, inspiration comes from everywhere, from the most tiniest detail or the biggest events.

...holy, it's now 2022

Gosh, where to begin? Haven't been here or rather updated since the end of 2015. First off, a lot has changed since I have been active on here. A lot of life changes, a pandemic and just life--and growing away from dA. I had been for a while since my first account was hacked and deleted and lost a lot of the connections I had made. dA lost some of its magic for me when it happened, and it was also a very rough period in my life too. So all that did not really help in the slightest. But I digress. The site has changed a lot too, navigating this has certainly been interesting lol. Also my writings have changed too, particularly since I had to take a 5 year hiatus due to a writing slump of sorts--burnout if I'm being honest. It's not an easy hole to get yourself out of as a creative, that's for sure. I've been taking my time but it's definitely taking longer than necessary, which can't really be helped. I'm more active on twitter and discord these days, trying to get back into

Last Thoughts of 2015...

Here we are again, another year has passed and a new one is about to begin. I've had lots of ups and downs this year, in more ways than one but it wasn't too awful...somewhat lol. As I mentioned in my previous journals, my presence on here is rather limited although I do find myself thinking of dA from time to time. And I do come back to do journals, despite not really submitting anything anymore. I'm not entirely sure what will become of this account. I may return at some point when my life isn't so chaotic and unpredictable. I don't know how some people manage, and I admire how they do. Unfortunately I'm not that well managed lol. Next yea

Better post here again before it's January lol. Just a quick update: Life's been busy as always. Since university has ended, trying to find a good job until my writing picks up, trying to get lots of writing done as well as editing, and dealing with life dramas--the usual. This year has been full of delays, ups and downs in such crazy ways, I don't know exactly how to explain it. But to echo my original post back in January, my thoughts still remain the same.
